Rosy's 30 year career spanned working in policy, strategy and leadership roles in the public and private sector. She started her working life as an assistant clinical psychologist, before researching and producing Emmy and BAFTA-award winning science and history documentaries for the BBC and Channel 4. Later she joined the Civil Service where she worked at the Cabinet Office and the Ministry of Justice, and took a sabbatical to help a start-up business. During her time in Government she ran an independent inquiry on flooding, worked on the emergency planning for 2012 London Olympics, and briefed COBRA during national emergencies.
While all these roles have different titles, ultimately they were all about people: leading and motivating teams; navigating difficult professional relationships; building and maintaining morale under immense pressure; negotiation; working out what “consumers” wanted or needed, whether a TV audience, the “users” of our public services or the public facing a pandemic.
Now a full-time Coach, Rosy leverages all her previous first hand experience to support people, and she specifically enjoys helping people make the changes they want in their lives - professional or personal. Sometimes this is around a specific change they want to bring about such a promotion, a change in career or to develop their leadership capability, or it is about a period of change they are navigating, such as redundancy, returning to work, or the more personal aspects of change relating to illness, bereavement or the menopause. Sometimes people need help clarifying what they need to change to bring about greater fulfilment and happiness before identifying the roadmap to achieve it.
Rosy's coaching is goal orientated, blending a mix of approaches and an awareness of psychology to help her clients build understanding of how to implement the changes and transformation they want in their work and life.
